Threats to Habitat

Physical habitat loss or degradation occurs with activities that disturb the visible structure of fish habitats. Those activities include:

Dredging (navigation channels, marina basins)
Marinas/docks/piers
Channelization/ditching
Flow regulation/obstruction
Bottom disturbing fishing gear
Shoreline hardening
Beach nourishment
Mining operations
