Impacts

Partial or complete burial of nearby hard bottom areas with redistributed sediment

Increased turbidity in water column

Physical disturbance to mining (“borrow”) sites

Direct mortality of important food resources for fish and shorebirds, including mole crabs
coquina clams
amphipods
