Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) Vessel Registration, Hunting and Fishing Licenses
Fishermen can buy Wildlife Resources Commission (WRC) vessel registrations and selected hunting and fishing licenses at any of the Division of Marine Fisheries’ License Offices along the coast.
In the past, fishermen had to purchase their commercial fishing licenses from the Division of Marine Fisheries, but then had to travel to a WRC license agent to take care of items associated with the vessel registration. By providing both services at one central location, both agencies feel they are providing better customer service for fishermen.

Following is a list of WRC vessel registration services that Division of Marine Fisheries’ License Offices can provide:
Three-year vessel registrations Issuance of a registration for a new vessel; vessels without
hull identification numbers will be processed through the WRC Raleigh office only Transfer of NC vessel number/title Transfer of vessels purchased from an individual owner Transfer of title Duplicate registrations
