COUNTIES
Neuse River - (Map 1)
Adams Creek- (Map 1)
Turnagain Bay - (Map 1)
South River – (Map 1)
West Bay/Long Bay –(Map 1)
Jarrett Bay – South of a line beginning at a point on Davis Island at 34° 45.4497N-
76° 29.2512W , then running northwest to a point at the site of the Old Chimney at 34° 45.5202N- 76° 30.0661W (Map
2)
Bay River – (Map 1)
GENERAL
INFORMATION:
A) This proclamation is issued under the
authority of G.S. 113-182; 113-221 (e); 143B-289.52 and N.C. Marine Fisheries
Rules 15A NCAC 3H .0103; 3L .0101 and .0202.
B) It is unlawful to violate the
provisions of any proclamation issued by the Fisheries Director under his
delegated authority per 15A NCAC 3H .0103.

This action is being taken because shrimp
in the areas listed above have reached harvestable size. This proclamation supersedes
SH-7-2001, dated June 13, 2001 and the portions of SH-5- 2001, dated June 5,
2001 that pertain to these areas.
