following areas WILL OPEN to
shrimping and crab trawling effective at 7:00
A.M., Tuesday, July 10, 2001.
ONSLOW/CARTERET
COUNTIES
WHITE OAK RIVER
- south of a line beginning on Bluff Point at 34E 45' 27" N -77E 07' 39"
W, running 095E
(M) to a point on the east shore (locally known as Alligator Gap) at 34E 45' 27"
N - 77E
07' 07" W. ALL TRIBUTARIES WILL REMAIN CLOSED. (See Map)
ONSLOW COUNTY
1. FOSTER'S CREEK -
near Intracoastal Waterway Marker #48.

2. QUEENS CREEK -
from the Intracoastal Waterway to N.C. Secondary Highway 1509 Bridge. ALL
TRIBUTARIES, INCLUDING PARROTT SWAMP AND DICK'S CREEK, WILL REMAIN CLOSED. (See Map)
3. BEAR CREEK -
from the Intracoastal Waterway to Willis Landing. (See Map)
4. CHADWICK BAY -
marked boat channel only, from the Intracoastal Waterway at Marker #6 to the
mouth of Fullard Creek. ALL TRIBUTARIES, INCLUDING CHADWICK BAY
ADJACENT TO THE MARKED BOAT CHANNEL WILL REMAIN CLOSED. (No map)
GENERAL
INFORMATION:
A) This proclamation is issued under the authority of G.S. 113-182;
113-221(e); 143B-289.52 and N.C. Marine Fisheries Rules 15A NCAC 3H .0103, 3L
.0101 and .0202.
B) It is unlawful to violate the provisions of any proclamation
issued by the Fisheries Director under his delegated authority per 15A NCAC 3H
.0103.
C) All shellfish leases and franchises will remain closed to trawling
as per NC Marine Fisheries Rule NCAC 15A 30 .0211.
D) This proclamation supersedes the portions of SH-5-2001, dated June
5, 2001 that deals with White Oak River, Queens, Foster's and Bear creeks and
Chadwick Bay.
