following areas WILL OPEN to
shrimping and crab trawling effective at 7:30
P.M., Monday, July 26, 2004.
A. ONSLOW/CARTERET COUNTIES
WHITE OAK RIVER
- south of a line beginning on Holland Bluff Point at 34E 44 .3000’ N
-77E
07 .6166’ W, running easterly to a point on the east shore at 34E 44 .5000’ N -
77E
07 .0000" W. ALL TRIBUTARIES
WILL REMAIN CLOSED. (See Map)
B. ONSLOW COUNTY
1. FOSTER'S CREEK - near
Intracoastal Waterway Marker #48. (See
Map)
2. QUEENS CREEK - from the
Intracoastal Waterway to N.C. Secondary Highway 1509 Bridge. ALL TRIBUTARIES, INCLUDING PARROTT SWAMP
AND DICK'S CREEK, WILL REMAIN CLOSED.

3. BEAR CREEK - from the
Intracoastal Waterway to Willis Landing.

II. GENERAL INFORMATION
A. This proclamation is issued under the authority of G.S. 113-170.4;
113-170.5; 113-182; 113-221(e); 143B-289.52 and N.C. Marine Fisheries Rules 15A
NCAC 3H .0103, 3L .0101 and .0202.
B. It is unlawful to violate the provisions of any proclamation
issued by the Fisheries Director under his delegated authority per 15A NCAC 3H
.0103.
C. All shellfish leases and franchises will remain closed to trawling
as per NC Marine Fisheries Rule NCAC 15A 30 .0211.
D. This proclamation supersedes the portions of SH-8-2004, dated May
28, 2004 and SH-5-2004, dated April 28, 2004 that deal with White Oak River,
Queens, Foster's and Bear creeks.
