PROCLAMATION

RE: 2005 SHRIMPING AND CRAB TRAWLING

Preston P. Pate, Jr., Director, Division of Marine Fisheries, hereby announces that the following area will open to shrimping and crab trawling, effective at 5:00 P.M., Sunday, August 21, 2005:

CARTERET COUNTY

Jarrett Bay- South of a line beginning on Davis Island 34° 45.4497’N - 76° 29.2512’W; running northwesterly to a point at the site of the Old Chimney 34° 45.5202’N - 76° 30.0661’W.

GENERAL INFORMATION:

1. This proclamation is issued under the authority of G.S. 113-170.4; 113-170.5; 113-182; 113-221.1; 143B-289.52 and N.C. Marine Fisheries Rules 15A NCAC 3H .0103; 3L .0101 and .0202.

2. It is unlawful to violate the provisions of any proclamation issued by the Fisheries Director under his delegated authority per N.C. Marine Fisheries Rule 15A NCAC 3H .0103.

3. This action is being taken to allow harvest of white shrimp that are present in these areas.

4. This proclamation supersedes the portion of Proclamation SH-3-2005, dated June 10, 2005 that pertains to this area.
