Fisheries Commission Schedules Meeting

MOREHEAD CITY – The N.C. Marine Fisheries Commission will meet at 1 p.m. Nov. 22 at the Crystal Coast Civic Center, 3505 Arendell St., Morehead City.

The meeting is open to the public, and a public comment period will be held.

The commission will discuss:

• Reopening waters south of Cape Lookout to the use of purse-seines for the commercial harvest of menhaden;
• Sustainable harvest measures for the N.C. Spotted Seatrout Fishery Management Plan.
